An einem unreifen Neugeborenen wird der vom 3. Embryonalmonat bis zum Ende des 1. Lebensjahres nachweisbare Galantreflex demonstriert: Beim Bestreichen der Haut entlang der Wirbelsäule kommt es zu einer gleichseitigen Kontraktion der Rückenmuskulatur.
Galant's refelex is demonstrated in an immature newborn: there is a contraction of the abdominal muscles on tapping the anterior superior iliac spine or touching the skin along spine from shoulder to hip.
