Mikronesier (Gilbert-Inseln, Nonouti) - Anfertigen eines Schlingenstabes für den Aalfang auf dem Ostriff

In der Siedlung Tetua stellt ein Mann aus einem Schößling des Salzbusches einen Schlingenstab mit einer Zugschlaufe und einen Köderstab her. Mit Hilfe des mit einem Stück vom Fangarm eines Kraken versehenen Köderstabes lockt er einen Aal in die Schlinge.
A man from the village of Tetua cuts two pieces of wood from a Pemphis acidula bush in order to prepare a pole snare and a bait pole. Both are used to catch eels in the crevices along the eastern rim of the reef.
