Am Strand von Routa sammelt eine Frau Schneckengehäuse, durchbohrt sie mit einer Nadel und näht sie in zwei Reihen mit einer selbstgedrillten Kokosfaserschnur auf ein Flechtband aus Pandanusblatt. Sie verknotet die Enden und setzt sich den fertigen Kopfschmuck auf.
Shows the work involved as a woman from the atoll Nonouti creates a headband. The band itself is plaited from pandanus leaves and is decorated with two rows of small snail shells strung together with coconut fiber cord.
