Ein Wachszieher stellt Kirchenkerzen im Gießverfahren her. Er hängt Dochte an das Wachsrad und gießt sie mit erhitztem, flüssigem Wachs an. Nach dem Vorguß werden die Angußkerzen vom Wachsrad abgenommen, auf einem Tisch mit Hilfe des Rollbretts begradigt und mit dem Schneidbrett gestutzt und geformt. Es folgt der endgültige Ausguß der Kerzen wiederum am Wachsrad.
A Lower Austrian wax-chandler makes church candles by the pouring method: He suspends wicks on the wax-wheel and pours heated, liquid wax over them. After the preliminary pouring the so-called tapers are removed from the wheel, straightened on the table by means of the rolling-board and cut and shaped with the carving-board. The candles are then finished by the pouring method on the wax-wheel.
