The evolution of the heart of warm-blooded animals is followed from the stage of a straight cardiac tube up to completed septation. The following is dealt with in greater detail: the formation of atrioventricular septa, the parts of the outflow tract, the involution of the crista prima and the evolution of the interventricular septum. Animation, microcinematographic shots, pictures obtained by a scanning electron microscope.
