Eine Frau schüttet auf eine vorgeheizte Backschale feuchtes Sagostärkemehl und bäckt daraus ovale Fladen, die kurz in Wasser getaucht werden. Anschließend legt sie frische Sagobrocken ins Feuer, bäckt sie unter mehrmaligem Wenden mit einer Bambuszange und ißt sie noch warm.
A woman, Kambanpi is refining bananas directly on the fire. On top of a moistened banana leaf she is putting sago, scraps of coconut and pieces of the refined bananas. The cake is wrapped in the leaf and baked in the heated frying-pan. The burnt banana leaf is then scraped off, and the cake is eaten.
