Electron Microscopic Preparation Techniques - 5. Spreading Technique for Preparing Isolated DNA

DNA and cytochrome c spread on the surface of a salt solution. The spreading area is dabbed at random with filmed grids. In this way a thin layer of protein and DNA adheres to the grid. Contrast enhancement by rotation cone shadowing with platinum-iridium alloy.
