Abstract: Modernization of the social institution of education has caused changes in the forms, technologies and training tools. Increased demands on the labor market to graduates of higher education institutions in the transition to put competence approach to learning. The author poses the problem of finding the point of descent of the network form of training and competence-based approach, as a way to achieve such knowledge and skills that are in demand in the professional sector in the chosen field of study, as well as a method of establishing cooperation with the professional community
