Duales Studium

Abstract: Als systematische Verzahnung der beiden Lernorte Hochschule und Praxispartner (Unternehmen, Betrieb, Sozialeinrichtung) entstand das Duale Studium in Deutschland zunächst in Antwort auf Fachkräftemangel und Forderung nach Beschäftigungssicherheit. Indem es wissenschaftliche Expertise, Erfahrungswissen, Praxisanwendung und Reflexion verschränkt, bewegt sich das Duale Studium heute im produktiven Spannungsfeld zwischen nutzenorientierter Qualifikation und Transdisziplinarität. Der Beitrag zeichnet die Rolle des Dualen Studiums im bildungspolitischen Diskurs nach, diskutiert unterschiedliche Formen und Spielarten in ihren Chancen und Dysfunktionen und verortet die deutsche Diskussion im internationalen Vergleich. Ein besonderes Augenmerk gilt der Verbindung (berufs-)praktischer und akademischer Anteile und ihrer Bedeutung in der strategischen Entwicklung der Hochschulen. (Herausgeber)
Abstract: As a systematic interlinking of the two learning locations of university and practice partner (company, business, social institution), the dual study program in Germany initially emerged as a response to the shortage of skilled workers and the demand for employment security. By combining academic expertise, experiential knowledge, practical application and reflection, the dual study program today operates in the productive field of tension between benefit-oriented qualification and transdisciplinarity. The article traces the role of dual studies in the discourse on education policy, discusses the opportunities and dysfunctions of different forms and variations, and locates the German discussion in an international comparison. Special attention is paid to the combination of (vocational) practical and academic components and their significance in the strategic development of universities. (Editor)
