An introduction to Sociology : Feminist Perspectives
Feminist perspectives and feminist research, although now recognised by malestream sociology, still tend to remain marginal. This new textbook demonstrates their centrality to sociology teaching and solarship. Malestream theories and research findings are, at best, incomplete because they fail to take proper account of the perspective of women. Sociology needs to be reformulated in order to incorporate the knowledge produced by feminists.\[W9]\This book will be essential reading for students of sociology at the introductory level.
