Photothermally Induced Transparency in Mode‐Cascaded Microcavity
Controllable optical elements play an important role in both classical and quantum devices, making it essential to achieve controllable light transmission in a high‐precision whispering gallery mode dielectric cavity. Herein, transmission control in a dielectric microcavity with the photothermal effect is investigated. The photothermal effect introduces a thermal disturbance in a dynamical process, whose interference with the original transmission leads to the emergence of a transparent window. To obtain and regulate the transparent window, the amplitude and frequency of the eigenfrequency oscillation in the optical mode are tuned, which can be achieved by modulating the power of the pump beam. Dynamical photothermally induced transparency in a mode‐cascaded microcavity is important for exploring novel physical properties in cavity‐based all‐optical control.
