Me-ofel le-or

Memoirs of a Jew born in 1937 in Turka, Poland (now in Ukraine), whose family fled to Volhynia after the Soviet occupation. In fall 1941, after the German invasion, she and her parents were interned in the Malinov ghetto, from which they escaped just before its liquidation in October 1942. They hid in a bunker in the forest, and eventually joined a Jewish partisan group, remaining in the forest until the liberation in late 1944. After the war they returned to Malinov and emigrated to Israel in 1949. (From the Bibliography of the Vidal Sassoon International Center for the Study of Antisemitism)
