De los derechos humanos a los humanos sin derechos

La Declaración Universal de los Derechos Humanos se aprobó en París en 1948, compuesta de 30 artículos en los que se detallan todos los derechos políticos, civiles, sociales, económicos y culturales que deben disfrutar todos los seres humanos y guía de comportamiento de los Estados hacia los mismos. Basados en ellos se aprobaron posteriormente el Pacto Internacional de Derechos Económicos, Sociales y Culturales y el de Derechos Civiles y Políticos, todos dieron origen a la “Carta Internacional de Derechos Humanos” de las Naciones Unidas. Aunque ni la “Declaración” ni la “Carta” conceden prevalencia alguna a un conjunto de derechos sobre los otros, un grupo de países resalta los políticos y civiles sobre el resto con fines geopolíticos, obviando la propia falencia en que incurren en sus propias naciones sobre los derechos sociales, económicos y culturales.
Abstract: The Universal Declaration of Human Rights was approved in Paris in 1948, containing 30 articles that detail all the political, civil, social, economic and cultural rights that all human beings should enjoy, and guide the behavior of states towards them. Based on them, the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights and the Covenant on Civil and Political Rights were subsequently approved, all of which gave birth to International Bill of Human Rights of the United Nations. Although neither the “Declaration” nor the “Bill” grants any precedence to one set of rights over the others, a group of countries emphasize the political and civil ones over the rest for geopolitical purposes, ignoring the very failure that their own nations incur regarding social, economic and cultural rights.
