Foucault y los anglofoucaultianos: una reseña del Estado y la gubernamentalidad

En este artículo, la autora analiza el pensamiento de Michel Foucault con respecto al concepto de Estado. Más específicamente, se centra en las ideas del "último Foucault", nacidas de los cursos dictados en el Collége de France durante 1978 y 1979, que tienen la peculiaridad de plantear una mirada no esencialista del Estado. Asimismo, explora la gubernamentalidad como un concepto más general desde el cual es posible no sólo definir sino también estudiar el Estado a la luz de los llamados estudios de gubernamentalidad. Partiendo de una perspectiva que propone estudiar al Estado más allá de las instituciones de gobierno, el trabajo recoge estas ideas destacando su potencial para el estudio de las problemáticas de gobierno actualmente.
In this article, the author analyses the thought of Michel Foucault in relation to the concept of State. More specifically, it centers on the ideas of the "last Foucault", born from the lectures given at the Collége de France during 1978 and 1979, which have the peculiarity of introducing a non essentialist view on the State. Also, it explores the governmentality as a more general concept from which it’s possible not only to define but also to study the State under the view of the so called studies of governmentality. Starting from a perspective that proposes to study the State beyond the institutions of government, the essay picks up these ideas emphasizing its potential for the study of the problems of government today.
