Mutter und Vater arbeiten in einem neu angelegten Garten. Ihr kleiner Sohn sitzt auf einer Erdstufe und spielt in Sichtweite der Eltern. Die Mutter stillt den Säugling, und auch der Vater nimmt kurz Kontakt auf. Danach beschäftigt sich ein Mädchen mit dem Kind. Später arbeitet die Mutter mit dem Säugling auf dem Rücken. Der Film belegt die Verbundenheit der Eltern mit ihren Kleinkindern auch während der Arbeit.
The mother and father are working in a newly laid-out garden. Their small son is sitting on an earthen terrace and is playing in sight of the parents. The mother is nursing the infant, and the father also makes contact briefly. Subsequently, a girl cares for the child. Later the mother works with her infant on her back. The film documents the parents' attachment to their small child, also while working.
