Reflexiones teórico-metodológicas para caracterizar al discurso de la prensa escrita como un discurso político

El propósito de este artículo es definir el discurso periodístico como un discurso político. La autora parte del supuesto de que el periódico rebasa el nivel meramente referencial, propio de su función informativa, y construye un discurso argumentativo y, por tanto, político, de los acontecimientos. Dicho discurso le resulta verosímil al lector por las estrategias utilizadas en el uso del lenguaje, por la confección de las páginas que implica la acción de seleccionar y jerarquizar la información y por el manejo de las valoraciones (argumentación) en la construcción del discurso periodístico. Se destaca la perspectiva interdisciplinaria por conjugar la teoría del periodismo, la lingüística, la comunicación, la sociología, el discurso político, el análisis del discurso y, muy especialmente, los estudios del discurso periodístico de la teoría de la argumentación de la Escuela de Neuchâtel con Jean-Blaise Grize y Georges Vignaux.
The purpose of this article is to define the journalistic discourse as a political discourse. The author parts from the theory that the newspaper exceeds a merely referential level, proper to its informative function, and builds an argumentative discourse of events, thereby being political. Said discourse seems credible to the reader because of the strategies used in the usage of language, by the elaboration of pages that imply an action of selection and hierarchization of information and by the treatment of argumentation in the construction of journalistic discourse. It emphasizes the inter disciplinary perspective to conjugate the theory of journalism, its linguistics, communication, sociology, political discourse, analysis of the discourse and, especially, the studies on journalistic discourse of the theory of argumentation by the Swiss School of Neuchatel with Jean-Blaise Grize and Georges Vignaux.
