Coupling conditions and stability of transport networks

Abstract: In transport networks the choice of coupling conditions has a large impact on the smoothness of the solution. This work illustrates an alternative to the algebraic instant mixing, which is used in most applications. The ODE formulation of the coupling enables the stability of solutions and Lipschitz continuous dependence on the velocity.
