Polyangium fuscum: Life-cycle, development of the swarm, differentiation of accumulates and cystogenesis. From a germination cyst the development of a swarm-colony is shown in details. After some time the formation of accumulates begins. The accumulates have a high movement, they disaccumulate and form again during a long time. In a late stage of accumulation the cystogenesis set. Yet nearly ripe cysts seem to be able to move and the movement comes to rest in the darkening cyst, when the slime is dehydrated.
