Lebenszyklus von Odynerus spinipes. Diese Lehmwespen (Mauerwespen) leben in Kolonien. Jedes Weibchen gräbt - besonders gern in Lehmwänden - einen kurzen Gang in das Erdreich, der sich mehrfach verzweigt und in den Brutkammern endet. Die ausgeräumte Erde wird am Nesteingang zu einem lockeren Röhrchen verbaut. In jede Brutkammer kommen ein Ei und als Larvennahrung mehrere gelähmte, raupenähnliche Rüsselkäferlarven.
Life cycle of Odynerus spinipes. These Mason wasps live in colonies. Each female digs - preferably in loam walls - a short tunnel in the earth which branches out several times and ends in breeding chambers. The excavated earth is formed to a small tube at the entrance of the nest. Each breeding chamber is filled with an egg and food for the larva.
