PALATOPLASTY FOR HORSE SHOE CLEFTS THE MEDIAN PALATAL MUCOPERIOSTEAL FLAP TECHNIQUE

A new technique of palatoplasty in horse-shoe clefts in 11 cases is presented. A Median mucoperiosteal flap has been used to minimise tension on the nasal layer. As a result of this fistula formation has never occurred. Adequate retropositioning could not be obtained in one case out of the 11 cases in the present series.
