Faschingsbrauchtum in Österreich, Steiermark - Ausschnitte aus dem "Reiterer Faschingsbrief", Bad Aussee 1978

Die aus neun Männern bestehende zwanglose Gruppe der "Reiterer" - so genannt nach der "Reitern" (Gemeinde Bad Aussee), wo ihr Leiter wohnt - trägt fast jedes Jahr am Faschingsmontag in mehreren Lokalen im Raum Aussee einen selbstverfaßten, gesprochenen und gesungenen Faschingsbrief vor. In der Themenwahl und im Darstellungsstil strebt diese Gruppe eine typisch "ländliche" Wirkung an. Das vorliegende Filmdokument, das außer 6 Sketches auch Einzug, Begrüßung und Verabschiedung enthält, wurde am Faschingsmontag 1978 im Gasthaus "Steirerhof" in Bad Aussee aufgenommen.
The "Reiterer" an informal group so called after the living place of four members "Reitern" (community of Bad Aussee), sing nearly every year on shrove monday a "Faschingbrief". By means of choice of the topics of their criticism and of their style of acting they strive after achieving a "rural" effect. The film shows selling of leaflets, in the Aussee regions as well called "Faschingbrief", six sung sketches and the stay of the Faschingbrief singers at "Steirerhof" after their scene.
