Es wird gezeigt, auf welche Weise erwachsene männliche Mantelpaviane Weibchen von Papio anubis in ihren Harem eingliedern. Obwohl bei Anubis-Pavianen die Herden nicht in Harems unterteilt sind, führt das aggressive Verhalten des Mantelpavianmannes auch bei dem Anubisweibchen zum Erfolg.
One replication of a field experiment shows how male hamadryas baboons incorporate females into their one-male group or harem. The male's aggressive herding succeeds in eliciting harem behaviour even in a female anubis baboon, although anubis baboons are note naturally organized in harems.
