Waika (Südamerika, Venezuela) - Palmfruchtfest

Zubereitung des Festmahls (Wildschweinkopf und Bananensuppe). Männer und Knaben umlaufen mit Waffen und Palmwedeln rhythmisch den Dorfplatz. Frauen und Kinder tanzen. Totenasche wird eingeholt, in Bananensuppe geschüttet und von Angehörigen getrunken. Gäste umkreisen den Dorfplatz, einige schnupfen Yópopulver, tanzen um die Dorflichtung, kriechen durch mehrere Dorfhäuser. Gegenseitiges Schlagen und Ansingen. Ausgabe von Nahrungsgeschenken an die Gäste.
