This is the country report on Finland in the project launched by the European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions on the social implicatins of EMU, especially in the labour market and industrial relations, insix EU countries. The report is essentially based on the interviews directed, according to the research plan specified by the Foundation, at three industries of the economy: automotive, banking and finance, and road haulage, on three companies in each, and the respective employers' and employees' organisations. The interviews were directed to the representatives of the management and the employees, and to the representatives of employer confederations and employee unions, respectively. The interviews and their reporting was carried out from August to October 1999, and the facts and views presented in the report display the situation as prevailing and felt at that stage. ...
