The head of the Charioteer of Delphi.
From the bronze statue of a youth once standing on a four-horse chariot in full-size, offering of Polyzalos, the tyrant of Gela (Sicily) after his victory in a chariot-race. Found nea the temple of Apollo at Delphi. Original work of a great artist of the first half of the 5th cent. B.C. Height: 0,40 m."

Im Original handelt es sich um eine der am besten erhaltenen originalen Bronzestatuen der griechischen Antike. Die 1,80 m große Statue wurde 1896 im Apollonheiligtum von Delphi gefunden. Heutiger Standort: Archäologisches Museum Delphi.
