Schlammspringer. Die armartig ausgebildeten Brustflossen und die trichterförmigen Bauchflossen sind abwechselnd in Aktion. Während der Körper auf den Bauchflossen ruht, schwenken die Brustflossen zur Einleitung des nächsten Schrittes nach vorn. Springen erfolgt mit Hilfe des nach vorn gebogenen Schwanzstieles. Schnappen nach lebender und toter Beute, Nahrungsaufnahme. Mit Zeitdehnung.
Mudskippers. The pectoral fins, which are arm-like, and the funnel-shaped pelvic fins alternate in their movements.
