The object of this discussion text typology was developed with the purpose of classifying the Brazilian municipalities according your insertion scale in the process of urbanization. Has focused on changes in the relationships between the different parts of the territory, is under productive population and switching work flows and study, is about the setting and trend of socio-spatial organization of the territory. The methodology employed in the construction of the typology and its results were presented by Moura and Pêgo (2016), and unleashed a series of developments, whether on the part of the team, this analysis related to other indicators, either by other researchers institutions that come by adjusting the information base and expanding the universe of research for other countries in Latin America. Search, too, offer information and summaries that contribute to the development of strategies to support the formulation and implementation of urban, regional policy and territorial development in national, regional and range of the States of the Federation.
