Ein Merlinpaar bebrütet ein aus 4 Eiern bestehendes Gelege auf einem Hang in der Moostundra Islands. Die wenige Tage alten Jungen werden mit Kleinvögeln gefüttert. Die wesentlichen Beutetiere (Regenpfeifer, Steinschmätzer) werden vorgestellt.
The film shows the nest of the Merlin on a cliff in Iceland. Feeding of the young, only a few days old, form the main parts of the scenes which follow. The jobs carried out by the parent birds during raising the young are documented.
