Silberreiher. Zwei Altvögel begrüßen sich mit Strecken und weitem Beugen des Halses. Bei der Fütterung wird der Hals des Altvogels von den am Schnabelgrund zerrenden Jungen stark verdreht. Das Futter gleitet gleich in den Schnabel des Jungvogels.
The film shows the greeting ceremony at the nest and feeding of small young of the great white egret. Greeting differs from that of related species in that the straightened neck is siffly bent to the ground. When feeding the young pull at the base of the bill of the adult thereby distorting its neck. The food glides directly into the throat of the young.
