Abstract: Ovarian cancer is the second most common gynecological malignancy in Germany. Due to the late diagnosis in a mostly advanced tumor stage (FIGO 3/4), most patients are treated intensively multimodally (visceral surgery, combination chemotherapy). This extensive therapy leads to diverse and frequent secondary disorders and toxicities, which severely impair private and professional participation. This review article presents and discusses the current status of oncological therapy, the consequential disorders caused by it and their influence on employability
Abstract: Das Ovarialkarzinom ist die zweithäufigste gynäkologische Tumorerkrankung in Deutschland. Wegen der erst späten Diagnose in einem meist fortgeschrittenen Tumorstadium (FIGO 3/4) werden die meisten Patientinnen intensiv multimodal (Viszeral-OP, Kombinationschemotherapie) behandelt. Diese umfangreiche Therapie führt zu vielfältigen und häufigen Folgestörungen und Toxizitäten, die die private und berufliche Teilhabe massiv beeinträchtigen.In diesem Übersichtsartikel wird der aktuelle Stand der onkologischen Therapie, die dadurch bedingten Folgestörungen sowie deren Einfluss auf die Erwerbsfähigkeit vorgestellt und erörtert
