Picture journey into the past: Germany 100 years ago

Photographer Johannes Mühler's view of Germany is an unusual one for us today. 100 years ago, cars did not dominate the cities and there were hardly any people travelling in Mühler's pictures. Radio and telephones were just beginning to establish themselves. There are washboats and horse-drawn carriages, rarely a car, farmed castles with chickens in the courtyards. It is a short journey into the past of this country.
