Fun in a passive house pool. First passive house leisure pool consumes considerably less heating energy than similar indoor swimming pools.

The monitoring shows that the thermal heat and electricity consumption can be reduced even further during ongoing operation if the building is well-regulated, optimised and continually monitored. The public swimming pool complex in Bamberg consumes over 50 per cent less heat than comparable leisure pool facilities. A thermally high-quality building envelope allows indoor air humidities of up to 64 per cent. This reduces the pool water‘s evaporation rate and the necessary air change rate for providing dehumidification. This therefore also reduces the electricity and heating requirements.
