Architektur

Frühgotische Gründung im 13 Jh. Ausbau der Gaden-Kirchenburg in Gotischer Zeit. Kirche 1680 neu erbaut. Erhöht über dem Ort in verteidigungstechnisch günstiger Spornlage. Aufgang vom Ort durch Torturm gesichert. Umfangreiche Gadenanlage mit teilweise doppelter Unterkellerung der Gaden, meist aus dem 15/16 Jh. Im Westen einst Halsgraben zur Bergseite. Wehrgang der Kirchhofmauer weitgehend abgetragen, bei einigen Gaden aber noch erhalten (diese die Kirchhofmauer als Außenmauer nutzend). Early Gothic founding in the late 13th century. A tremendous Gaden Church-Castle of which many of the Gaden (storage buildings) are still present. Although many of them do have additional cellar, which were cut into the solid rock underneath to increase storage capacity. The battlement of the cemetery curtain is mostly removed, while in some cases still the principle can be seen that the cemetery curtain is the outer wall of the Gaden. Therefore, the battlement is served from out the Gaden. Sited on a hill spin over the village, the defense position can be called good. One big gate tower controlled the way up from the village, while a moat was additional protecting to the hill side. The church was rebuild in 1680, but the whole impression is, due to good renovations, absolutely present.
