An drei aufeinanderfolgenden Tagen stellt Vicente Tapuyo San Nicolás aus Zapallo Grande mit einer Axt und einer Krummaxt einen Kinder-Einbaum aus dem Holz des Guadaripo-Baums (Ocotea sp.) her. Die Einbäume sind aus dem Alltag der Chachilla und ihrer Nachbarn nicht wegzudenken und werden auf vielfältige Weise benutzt.
Vicente Tapuyo San Nicolás of Zapallo Grande takes 3 days to make a dugout canoe using an axe and wood of a Guadaripo tree (Ocotea sp.). Dugouts are central for the Chachilla people and are used in many ways.
