Dreistacheliger Stichling. Nestbau, Zickzacktanz, Fächeln am Nest, teilweise Nachfolgen eines Weibchens, auch kurze Maulkämpfe, Hineinschwimmen des Weibchens in das Nest, Ablaichen, dabei Herumstößeln des Männchens am Hinterende der Partnerin, Besamen der Eier im Nest nach Wegschwimmen des Weibchens. Versuche zur Bedeutung des Stößelns an der Schwanzwurzel.
Three-spined Stickleback: nest-building; zigzag dance; fanning the nest; partial following of a female; short mouth fights; the female swimming into the nest; spawning with butting of the male against the tail of the female; fertilization of the eggs in the nest following departure of the female. Mock-up tests show that the bumping of the male against the female's tail base is essential for spawning.
