Hemibalistes fuscus (Balistidae) - Nahrungsaufnahme
Drückerfische können mit ihren teils meißel-, teils plattenförmigen Zähnen Kalkpanzer von Muscheln u. a. knacken. Durch wendiges, schnelles Vorstoßen werden Seepocken und Miesmuscheln von ihrer Unterlage gerissen und aufgefressen.
The film shows swimming and fedding of some triggerfishes. The fishes break off barnacles with their mouth and soon the hard bits are spit out. When eating barnacles or when fed with flesh or mussels the fishes can be observed propelling themselves forward before seizing the food.
