Additive Doppelqualifikation bei Hochschulzugangsberechtigten: eine empirische Untersuchung von Einflussfaktoren

Abstract: Why do many school leavers first decide on vocational training, and only afterwards begin their university studies? The dissertation examines the causes and effects of "additive dual qualifications". After a theoretical outline of the topic, the author develops hypotheses for the possible causes of an additive combination of vocational training and academic studies. On this basis, 1,000 young apprentices were questioned in their final year of training about their upcoming transition. The most important factor is "striving for security", but "school leaving exam grades" and "labour markets" also play an important role. The results show that an additive dual qualification is not a spontaneous decision
