The film shows the principal stages of making an one-skin frame-drum: the preparation of skin (in the film a sheepskin is used) and the wooden frame; the way of attaching the skin to the frame; and the fixation of two strings under the membrane in order to regulate its resonance when beaten. To strengthen the membrane, the frame-drum is held near a fire.
