Zur Darstellung seiner Heilkunst führt ein Schlangentänzer vor Sängern, zwei Trommlern und weiteren Tänzern symbolische Selbstverletzungen aus. Er zeigt anschließend tanzend gewagte Kunststücke mit einer Gabunviper.
A man dancing with an Gabun viper performs risky tricks, in order to prove that he is not afraid of the deadly bite of the snake. He and his accompanying fellows form a society of medicine men. The performance with the dangerous snake should prove to the public, that in fact the society possesses effective remedies.
