Bildnis des John Manners, Marquess of Granby (1721-1770). Der britische General steht souverän in Uniform leicht seitlich zum Betrachter und hat seine rechte Hand auf sein Schwert vor sich gestemmt. Mit seinem linken Ellbogen hat er sich dabei nach hinten an sein Pferd gelehnt und den Zeigefinger in seine Schärpe am Bauch gesteckt. Links unten im Bild sind Soldaten einer Kavallerie im Kampf zu erkennen.
