May 23, 2009, Beirut, Lebanon: Nayla Tueni, 26, whose father Gebran Tueni, an anti-Syrian member of parliament and editor of the influential An-Nahar newspaper, was killed in a car bomb in 2005, is running in the the June 7 parliamentary election for an Orthodox Christian seat in Beirut, part of the March 14 coalition. A fourth-generation journalist at An-Nahar, founded by her great-grandfather, she hopes to continue and try to accomplish what her father wanted: a secular Lebanon free of Syrian and all other foreign domination.///Nayla Tueni standing in front of the desk of her father, Gebran Tueni, at the offices of An-Nahar newspaper in downtown Beirut..
