Mikrokinematographische Dokumentation der protoplasmatischen Reaktion in den Stielzellen des Drosera-Tentakels. Die Reaktion tritt nach dem Fang eines Insektes auf oder erfolgt im Experiment. Im gereizten Zustand quillt Protoplasma und entzieht der Vakuole Wasser. Der Vorgang ist reversibel. Er dauert wie die Restitution etwa 24 Stunden. Interferenzkontrast, mit Zeitraffung.
Microcinematographic documentation of the protoplasmic reaction in the stalk cells of the Drosera tentacle. The reaction occurs after an insect has been captured, or is induced under experimental conditions. When stimulated, the protoplasma swells up and draws water from the vacuole. The process lasts approximately 24 hours and is reversible; the reverse process takes the same length of time. Interference contrast; time-lapse sequences.
