With and Without You: Megara’s Harbours

Abstract: The main question that is addressed in this article is whether and how the harbour towns of the Megarid – Nisaia on the Saronic Gulf and Pagai, Aigosthena on the Gulf of Corinth – constituted local worlds in their own right.
