Los usos de los conceptos de tiempo y espacio en las interpretaciones de la Revolución Mexicana

El estudio de las corrientes interpretativas actuales de la Revolución Mexicana constituye una perspectiva útil para el análisis crítico de las tendencias que imperan en el conjunto de las ciencias sociales. Los autores del artículo consideran que las interpretaciones de la Revolución pueden ser ordenadas para su estudio en tomo a la definición, explícita o no, vertida por cada uno de los conceptos de tiempo y espacio. Es revisado el boom reciente de la historia regional y de la microhistoria que ha conducido a una suerte de escepticismo ante los paradigmas teóricos y a un rechazo de la teoría. Los autores formulan una propuesta de análisis que procura evitar tanto el teoricismo reduccionista de los procesos históricos como el empiricismo.
The current interpretations of Mexican Revolution are important issues for the critical analysis of the epistemological trends in social sciences. The authors of this article attempt to classify the various interpretations of Mexican Revolution according with the way both time and space concepts have been used whether explicitely or not. In this regard after surveying the most recent boom of regional micro-historical literature in which they found certain scepticism with theoretical paradigms and a rejection of theory, they finally outline their own proposal which main purpose is to avoid any sort of empiricisism or narrow minded theoretical approaches, for the study of historical processes.
