Location, construction, repair and function of a waterwheel on Rio Mixteco. This irrigation technique used to be widely spread in the Balsa Region. The replacement of a clay pitcher and the commencement of operation on a field with water melons and green maize are shown. In addition the contrast between dry land (pasture) and oasis-like cultivation (vegetable, fruit) near the river becomes evident.
