Flossensauger sind angepaßt an das Leben in Gebirgsbächen: rochenartig verstärkte Brust- und Bauchflossen zum Festsaugen am Sediment, abgeplatteter Körper, breiter Kopf mit unterständigem Maul zum Abweiden der Algen. Schwimmen, Weidelaufen, alternierendes Laufen, Kriechen mit Hilfe der Brust- und Bauchflossen.
Borneo suckers are adapted to life in mountain streams: raylike amplified pectoral and ventral fins for adhesion on the sediment, flattened body, widened head with ventral mouth for grazing of algae. Swimming, walking, crawling with pectoral and ventral fins.
