The article presents the author's model of the institutional environment of innovative economy, the analysis of state institutions, innovation and infrastructure institutions at the current stage of formation of an innovative economy in Russia, the main problems in the the development of elements of the institutional environment and suggest possible ways of improving the current institutional environment of innovative economy in Russia.
