Während der Vater auf einem Feld in Huye Luang mit einem dreiklingigen Ritzmesser die Mohnkapsel mehrmals einritzt, kratzen seine Frau und seine Tochter mit einem Schaber von den am Vortage eingeritzten Kapseln den inzwischen eingedickten Saft, das Rohopium, ab und wickeln es in Blütenblätter.
The poppy heads are cut open with a three-edged knife. A milky juice comes out of the incisions. The thickened milky juice which while thickening changed its colour to blackish-brown is collected with a scraper from the heads which were cut the day before. It is then wrapped up in a flower petal.
