Acht Jahre Grundsicherung für Arbeitsuchende: Strukturen - Prozesse - Wirkungen

Abstract: Eight years after the introduction of basic security benefits for job seekers in 2005 the IAB (Institute for labour market and employment research) again takes stock. The report collates the results of the IAB SGB II research from the years 2009 to 2012 and puts the findings in the wider educational context. The current state of knowledge relating to the structure and dynamics of benefits and the insights into the process of activation and care are also outlined. Additionally, the publication presents research findings about the impact of labour market policy tools as well as the macroeconomic effects of the reforms. The authors describe the current state of the basic security benefits and what the future challenges are from the point of view of research and practice
