Knabe

Der Knabe in höfischer Kleidung und eboshi auf der Schulter hält einen Pinsel in der Rechten und einen Papierstreifen für Gedichte (tanzaku). Ein Holzstab steckt am Rücken, wohl um ein nach vorne Sinken beim Einnicken zu verhindern. Die Darstellung ist vielleicht Sinnbild des unermüdlichen Fleißes eines Schülers.
